Electrical plans,
drawn on site.

Floorplan in, symbols on, wires drawn, circuits tested, PDF out. On iPhone, iPad, Mac and in the browser.

Free to start. Premium is a monthly subscription, priced for your country in the app.

Why ePlan

One plan, from the site visit to the PDF the client signs. Drawn once, changed in minutes, the same on every screen.

Three steps, one plan.

From the floorplan to a PDF in the client's inbox.

The editor on an iPad: the scanned floorplan in, the symbol panel beside it

1 Bring the floorplan

A photo, the architect's PDF, or a 3D scan on an iPhone with LiDAR. No drawing? Draw the walls on a grid.

The editor on a Mac, with the symbol panel beside the plan

2 Place symbols, draw wires

Seventy-one devices in your standard. Drag one onto the plan, tap two to wire them, colour each circuit.

Test mode on a Mac: the lights of each room lit or dark as the switches are set

3 Test it, then send it

Check that every device reaches the board, flick the switches, see the load per circuit. Then export the PDF with its legend.

Built for the trade.

What an electrician needs on site. Nothing else.

Double socket2

Symbols in your standard

IEC 60617 or US drawings and names, chosen per device. The plan stays the same for the whole team.

2-way switch

Wires that follow the symbols

Tap one symbol, then another. Move a socket and its wires come along.

Ceiling light

Test the wiring

Connectivity from the board, a switch simulation, an indicative load per circuit against its breaker.

Distribution board

Work as a team

Invite the crew with a code. Edits sync to every device.

Smoke detector

Scan rooms in 3D

Walk the rooms with an iPhone with LiDAR and get a floorplan with its dimensions. Free.

Data outlet

Exports that read right

A PDF with its legend, sharp at any zoom, at the plan's shape or on A4 or Letter. Or an image for a message.

The same device, drawn your way.

Every device has a drawing and a name in both conventions.

Questions, answered.

Which symbols does it draw?
Seventy-one devices in nine groups, each drawn and named in the IEC 60617 and the US convention, plus a custom symbol you name. The full chart.
Do I need a floorplan?
No. Photograph a drawing, import a PDF or picture, scan the rooms in 3D, or draw the walls on a grid.
Is the load estimate a design calculation?
No. It is an indicative figure from typical loads, so an overloaded circuit stands out early. The calculations your regulations require still apply, and the app says so.
Does it work on Windows?
Yes, in the browser at app.electricalfloorplans.com, with the same Apple or Google sign-in.
Is there an Android app?
Not yet. The web app works in an Android tablet's browser.
Which languages?
The apps speak 30 languages, following the device. The web app is English for now.
Where are my plans kept?
On the app's server, synced to every device you sign in on, and cached on the device for editing offline. See the privacy policy.

Draw the next plan on the plan itself.
